In the meantime, I’ve phoned, got the wrong department (again). There’s no record of the claim number. Oh, wait, there is. No, it hasn’t been allocated. Someone will call me back. Nobody does. Am I in a Beckett play? Let’s go. Nobody moves.
The attempt to make an insurance claim has turned into a constant screechy drone in the background of my writing life. It doesn’t even really deserve a post, but I just wanted to — ah, they’ve answered. Must run.
