Meg, I loved that series too… and the theme tune has the same effect on me. I was 17 I think and went and hunted down the books. KM, you are a legend.

Me too, me too! Love KM. Did you come across the Jinny at Finmory series by Patricia Leitch? I was obsessed with these as a kid. The characters and setting are so alive. Tom-boyish wild girl’s adventures with Arabian horse on the Scottish moors. A bit Dark-is-Rising-ish.

Have never read Patricia Leitch, though I’ve noticed her name coming up in the past. Must seek them out.

Hurrah for pony books – and Catnip.. who are re-publishing PL’s Jinny at Finmory books For Love of a Horse and A Devil to Ride in July – next month.. (being printed as I type)! Meg I’ll send to you soon as they’re in – I can promise hand on heart that they’re definitely not ‘fresh’ but pure nostalgic pony stories as a girl could ever want..!

Share your enthusiasm for KM Peyton’s books – she is wonderful. And I love the way her characters pop up in different books. And what about the moody, charismatic Patrick Pennington?!!
