Get Meg.

When my schedule permits, I’m happy to speak at festivals, schools, and corporate or literary events.

Subjects include my books and writing (of course), but I also talk about finding your way in life, accessing creativity, the importance of mistakes, how to find a voice, mid-life crisis and career change, starting to write, and the care and feeding of the nearly-extinct Eck.

The film of How I Live Now is currently in pre-production, and the book-to-film process is one that kids seem to love.

Bookselling and signing can be arranged through a local bookseller, or through my publisher. For school events, I prefer year nine and above (though mature year eights can work) as the books contain some difficult themes. I love talking to adults too, as I’m secretly writing for middle-aged adolescents.

Events generally last 50-90 minutes and include a talk, Q&A, and signing.

If you’re interested in having me speak at your school or festival, or for information about availability and rates, please get in touch:

Just to thank you for a fantastic day … you were brilliant and the feedback from all the pupils has just been amazing.  We have genuinely never had such enthusiastic and positive comments to anything we’ve put on before. You really inspired the pupils and it was just such an uplifting day. So, thank you.” (School visit, 2011)

Many thanks for one of the most enjoyable and uplifting events of my career. It was so wonderful to see so many students ENJOYING writing, especially boys. The writers were brilliant – involving themselves wholeheartedly in inspiring and encouraging students to write. I thought the published authors, especially Meg Rosoff, inspired them greatly.” (Writing festival, 2011)
