Pink Gun

This is a post for all of those people out there who daily google "pink gun" and get my blog, because I once used a picture of a pink gun to make a point about something or other, probably feminism or why it's important to let women decide if they want to have abortions, or the like. I would like to take this opportunity to say to anyone who has accidentally stumbled upon this NRA-hating, left wing, Obama-voting person's blog, that if you are googling "pink gun" in order to purchase such an item, you are part of the problem contributing to massacres such as the one in Denver last week that left a whole bunch of children orphans.

To quote wikipedia on the subject, "The incidence of homicides committed with a firearm in the US is much greater than most other advanced countries. In the United States in 2009 United Nations statistics record 3.0 intentional homicides committed with a firearm per 100,000 inhabitants; for comparison, the figure for the United Kingdom, with very restrictive firearm laws (handguns are totally prohibited, for example) was 0.07, about 40 times lower, and for Germany 0.2."

The right for all citizens to bear arms is an absurd anachronism going back nearly 250 years to a time when you might have needed a gun to kill a bear coming through your front door.

This usually isn't a problem today.

The problem today, is that the world is full of lunatics who are capable of ordering 9,000 rounds of ammunition online and opening fire in a movie theatre without feeling particularly bad about it.

The difference between America and most civilized countries, is that in America the wherewithal to accomplish such an action is perfectly legal.

This is utter idiocy.

If you're not clever enough to understand that, please leave my blog and don't ever come back.
